Milwaukee, WI (February 21, 2017) – Michael Best is pleased to announce Denise Greathouse, a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group, has been selected as a 2017 40 Under 40 recipient by the Milwaukee Business Journal. The publication recognizes up-and-coming business leaders under the age of 40 making a difference in the business community throughout the Milwaukee area.
Greathouse has continued to make a name for herself in Milwaukee’s legal environment while advising clients on employment topics including employment litigation, employment policies, practices & audits, as well as workplace safety & health. While practicing law is important to Greathouse, she also believes it is equally important to give back to the community.
She is involved as a board member, volunteer, and mentor with seven different organizations in the Milwaukee area, including PEARLS for Teen Girls which focuses on self-development, skill-development, and self-esteem program for young girls living in the inner city. Greathouse shares lessons and wisdom she has accumulated over the years to mentor young women in the program, equipping high school girls with the resources they need to successfully prepare for college.
Greathouse was recognized by Lawyers of Color Inc.’s “Lawyers of Color Hot List” in 2013 and Law Bulletin Publishing’s “Emerging Lawyers” in 2015 and 2016 for her success and accomplishments as a mid-career minority attorney under the age of 40.
She earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2005 and received her B.A. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002.
She will be honored at a dinner hosted by the Milwaukee Business Journal on February 21 at the Pfister Hotel.
