CHICAGO (December 5, 2016) – Jill B. Lubetsky has joined Michael Best’s Chicago office as an attorney in the firm’s Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group.
Lubetsky provides proactive, strategic advice to clients on labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination; employee performance, conduct and discipline, and leave issues; labor-management relations, including collective bargaining agreement interpretation and application, unfair labor practices, and employee grievances; and litigation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation avoidance strategies.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Lubetsky served as a senior attorney with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Office of Chief Counsel. In this role, she advised and counseled the IRS on labor and employment-related matters and represented the IRS in arbitration and litigation proceedings before the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, and the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
Lubetsky received her J.D. with a Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was Notes and Comments Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), serving on the Alliance for Women Committee and Labor & Employment Committee of CBA’s Young Lawyers Section.
