UPDATE: Wisconsin Supreme Court Justices Deadlocked 3-3 on City of Milwaukee Mandatory Sick Pay Ordinance

Today, the Wisconsin Supreme Court issued an opinion in the City of Milwaukee Mandatory Sick Pay Ordinance challenge filed on behalf of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce ("MMAC"). The justices deadlocked 3 – 3 and the case is remanded back to the Court of Appeals, who had earlier bypassed and certified the case to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The injunction of this ordinance previously won by Michael Best on behalf of MMAC remains in place. Further updates will be made available when the court schedule is determined.
