EPA’s Proposed Mandatory GHG Reporting Rule: UPDATE

As we reported on March 13, 2009, Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) has proposed a rule that will require mandatory reporting of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions from all facilities in 19 specific source categories and all other facilities that emit 25,000 metric tons or more of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, click here for the full alert.

EPA published the rule in the Federal Register on Friday, April 10, 2009. The publication can be found here. Public comments on this proposed rule must be submitted to EPA no later than June 9, 2009.
