Today, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Thomas R. Cooper granted the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (“MMAC”) an injunction to delay the enforcement of the Milwaukee mandatory paid sick-leave ordinance. The measure was scheduled to go into effect on Tuesday, February 10. Employers will not be required at this time to revise their personnel policies and procedures to grant paid sick-leave to employees working in the Milwaukee region.
MMAC was represented in court by Michael Best attorneys Scott C. Beightol and Joseph Louis Olson.
