With the opening of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP’s new Washington, D.C. office earlier this summer, the firm is quickly raising its profile in the nation’s capital.
Last week Michael Best was showcased at multiple high-profile events including our own welcome reception and celebration on September 17 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. We were honored to see so many friends and clients from both the Midwest and Washington, D.C. Among those who helped us celebrate the opening of our Washington, D.C. office were several members of the Wisconsin Congressional delegation including Sen. Tammy Baldwin, Reps. Thomas Petri, Marc Pocan, Ron Kind, and Reid Ribble. Also in attendance were Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Reince Priebus, Chair of the Republican National Committee and a partner currently on leave from Michael Best.
The following day, Michael Best sponsored two additional events in Washington, D.C. The first was Wispolitics.com’s “Understanding the Political Landscape” luncheon with Politico’s Jim VandeHei. The second event, Milwaukee Night in Washington D.C. with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, highlighted the contributions of the Milwaukee region to the economic strength and vitality of the country.
From the Nation’s Capital, located at 601 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W., our D.C. office attorneys will be focusing on the areas of Energy, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Food and Agriculture and Venture Capital, and will be well-positioned to represent our clients' needs in the expanding federal regulatory environment, governmental investigations and the evolving intellectual property arena.
It’s safe to say Wisconsin was well represented in Washington, D.C. last week and Michael Best is looking forward to continue raising the profile of the firm as we serve clients from our new Washington, D.C. office.
