Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is proud to announce that Kerryann M. Haase has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Chicago office. Kerryann is a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group and formerly served on the firm’s Compensation and Recruitment Committees.

In addition to her legal expertise, Kerryann is a firm believer in giving back to the community and is committed to helping those in need. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois where she has served as Vice Chair, Fund Development Chair and on its Executive Committee. Kerryann is a member of the Chicago Economic Club and is a member of its Membership Committee. In addition, Kerryann recently became a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Dancing Company. She also is a former long-time Board Member and Legal Committee Chair of the organization, Girls in the Game.
Kerryann’s legal accomplishments are demonstrated through the accolades she has received. She was recognized as an “Illinois Super Lawyer” in 2010 and an “Illinois Rising Star” in 2009 in the area of labor and employment law by Illinois Super Lawyers Magazine, published by Law & Politics. She also was selected as one of Law Bulletin Publishing’s “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch.” Kerryann’s practice involves counseling and defending employers engaged in litigating employment disputes in all aspects of federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies. Her extensive experience has a focus on discrimination and termination claims, as well as non-compete agreements. Kerryann counsels clients on employment issues related to wrongful termination, hiring, evaluation and discipline of employees, non-competes, wage claims and more.
She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School.
