Haberman Steps Down as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Public Policy Forum


Milwaukee, WI – Bill Haberman, a partner in the Wealth Planning Practice Group at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, has stepped down as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Milwaukee’s Public Policy Forum. Haberman held this position for three years. Haberman’s most notable accomplishments as Chairman was his role in launching a multi-year project designed to research the costs and benefits of quality early childhood education. Haberman continues to be one of Milwaukee’s foremost supporters of arts and cultural institutions.

Haberman’s practice includes the development of the estate plan and various devices required to save taxes and achieve personal objectives. He is experienced with marital property, charitable giving in its various forms, family limited partnerships, grantor retained annuity trusts, sales to defective trusts and succession planning. Mr. Haberman has also devoted substantial time to fiduciary litigation both in terms of representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries. He is a member of various estate planning organizations and is a frequent lecturer on estate planning subjects.
