Michael Best Welcomes Nine New Associates

Milwaukee, WI – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to welcome nine new associates to the firm.

Milwaukee

James B. Barton is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Barton earned a B.S. from the University of Colorado in 2005 and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. Barton received a J.D. in 2008 from Marquette University Law School.

Melissa H. Burkland is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Burkland received a B.A. in English with a Political Science minor, with distinction, in 2005 from the University of Nebraska. Burkland received a J.D., with distinction, in 2005 from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

Matthew W. Kurlinski is a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group. Kurlinski received a B.A., in 1994, from Miami University and a J.D., in 1997, from Case Western Reserve University Law School. Prior to joining the firm, he was a diplomat employed by the U.S. Department of State and recently he was seconded to the U.S. Department of Defense were he maintained liaison relationships with military, law enforcement and security communities at national, state and local levels.

Clayton P. Kawski is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Kawski received a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in 2003 from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Kawski earned a J.D., summa cum laude, in 2007, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Illinois University Law Review.

Chicago

Paul Coble is a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. Coble attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a B.A. in Chemistry, in 2005. He earned a J.D., cum laude, at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2008.

Rebecca McClintock is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. McClintock earned a B.E., in biomedical engineering, in 2005, from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. in 2008 from Loyola University Chicago Law School.

Waukesha

Alan C. Cheslock is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Cheslock earned a B.S., in mechanical engineering, in 2002 from Marquette University. He also received a J.D., in 2008 from Marquette University Law School. Prior to attending law school, Cheslock worked as an engineer for We Energies.

Denise Greathouse is a member of the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group. Greathouse received a B.A. from the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and a J.D. in 2005 from Marquette University Law School. Prior to joining the firm she was an Assistant District Attorney with Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office.
