Milwaukee, WI - The law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce José A. Olivieri as the winner of the 2008 Frank J. Pelisek Community Involvement Award. These firm awards were created in honor of former Michael Best Partner, Frank J. Pelisek and current partner David J. Cannon and their steadfast commitment to our community.
Olivieri serve's as chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Relations and Immigration Practice Groups and is a member of the firm's Community Involvement Committee. Olivieri has been involved with many varied and significant community building activities in Milwaukee and throughout the state. He currently serves as Board President of the United Community Center and Board Member of the Milwaukee Art Museum. He was a Past President and Board Member of the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation and Past President and Board Member of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. Olivieri was a Founding Member and Past President of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association. Mr. Olivieri was also the 1985 award recipient of the Posner Foundation Pro Bono Award.
