Michael Best's “Daughter/Son to Work Day” Program to Focus on Intellectual Property Law

Chicago, IL – “Do you have an invention?” “Don’t know how to proceed?” Children of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP attorneys and staff will focus on the process of patenting inventions during the “Daughter/Son to Work Day” program scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 2006.  The program will kick-off with presentations by patent and trademark attorneys followed by projects that will help educate the child inventors on intellectual property law.  Each child will develop and patent their very own invention with the assistance of patent engineers and will learn about patent infringement through interactive exercises.  The inventors will switch gears and become jurors in a mock trial based on the fairytale “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”  Personalized business cards and their “patented idea” will be presented to each inventor to commemorate the day.

“Our patent and trademark attorneys are passionate about their work and provide optimal service to our intellectual property clients.  By showing the future the possibilities in intellectual property law, we hope to foster their creativity and entrepreneurial spirits,” says Dan Kaufman, Chicago Office Managing Partner.
