Michael Best Expands With the Addition of Five New Associates

Milwaukee, WI - The law firm of Michael Best is pleased to announce the hiring of five new associates to its Wisconsin offices.

Gayle A. Bush is located in the Milwaukee office and a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Bush primarily focuses her practice on patent prosecution and related opinion and agreement matters. She received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2000 and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin ? Madison in 1996.

Lynda M. Fitzpatrick is located in the Madison office and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. Dr. Fitzpatrick concentrates her practice on patent prosecution in the life science and biotechnology areas, including proteins, genetically engineered organisms, purification of biomolecules, high throughput assays and screening, diagnostics, methods of disease treatment, and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Fitzpatrick received a J.D., with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004. She also received a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1998 and a B.Sc. from the University of Manchester in 1993.

Aaron H. Kastens is located in the Waukesha office. He focuses his practice on litigation. Prior to joining Michael Best, Kastens was a Staff Attorney with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia. Kastens received his B.B.A., magna cum laude, from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 1999 and a J.D.,cum laude, in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Susan M. Sager is a member of the Land & Resources Practice Group in Milwaukee. She focuses her practice in real estate development, land use litigation and condemnation teams. Prior to joining Michael Best, Sager was the senior land use attorney for the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust where she represented cities across the State of Minnesota in complex land use and development litigation. Sager received a J.D., cum laude, from Hamline University School of Law in 1993 and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in 1989.

Ariana J. Voigt is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Milwaukee. She focuses her practice on trademark, copyright and unfair competition counseling and litigation, domain name and other Internet infringement matters, patent litigation, trademark, patent, copyright licensing, and due diligence. Voigt received a B.A., in Music, magna cum laude, in 1997 from Southwestern University and a J.D., cum laude, in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she was Senior Managing Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.
