Milwaukee, WI - Michael Best announces the hiring of partner Daniel J. Vaccaro to its growing Litigation Practice Group. Vaccaro is an experienced trial attorney and concentrates his practice in civil and criminal litigation, focusing on tort, commercial and white collar criminal defense cases.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Vaccaro served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Puerto Rico located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was responsible for investigating and prosecuting organized crime, capital murder, international narcotics, money laundering, white collar, law enforcement corruption and other major felony cases. During his service, Vaccaro received the U. S. Department of Justice's Director's Award for Superior Performance from the U.S. Attorney General. He was also recognized by the U.S. Department of Treasury, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal agencies for his accomplishments as a trial attorney and advocate.
Vaccaro received a J.D, cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law in 1990 and a B.S., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986.
Vaccaro, a graduate of Cudahy High School resides with his wife, Dawn, and their son, Carson, in the Grant Park area of South Milwaukee.
