As the December 1, 2016 new overtime pay regulations compliance deadline quickly approaches, Michael Best is offering a second chance to attend this seminar outlining the "Final Rule."
On May 18, 2016, The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has released its much anticipated Final Rule regarding overtime pay eligibility for certain "white collar" employees. Affecting an estimated 4.2 million workers, the new regulations more than double the minimum salary level required to satisfy the executive, administrative, and professional exemptions. Employers will need to carefully analyze their job classifications and make significant decisions likely to impact budgets and employee morale.
In this seminar, attorneys Mitchell W. Quick and Christine E. Bestor Townsend will outline the Final Rule, covering:
- Requirements of the DOL's new overtime pay regulations and their impact upon use of the executive, administrative, and professional exemptions
- Changes to the highly compensated employee exemption
- Practical advice for ensuring compliance with the new overtime pay regulations
- Strategies for communicating changes to affected employees
Check-in & Breakfast: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.
