Michael Best Names New Washington, D.C. Office Managing Partner

WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 3, 2016) – Michael Best is pleased to announce Kevin M. Barner has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Barner is a leading intellectual property attorney in the D.C. area with nearly 20 years of experience. He provides strategic counsel on all aspects of patent law, including procurement and strategy, as well as enforcement and defense in federal court.

Barner’s promotion comes at a time of national growth for the firm. Barner attended the University of Baltimore (UB), receiving his J.D. from the UB School of Law and his M.B.A. from UB’s Merrick School of Business. During law school, Barner served as executive editor of the Law Forum and editor of the Intellectual Property Law Journal. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
