Michael Best Names New Milwaukee Office Managing Partner

Danielle M. Bergner promoted to lead Milwaukee office

MILWAUKEE (September 27, 2016) – Michael Best is pleased to announce Danielle M. Bergner has been named Managing Partner for the firm’s Milwaukee office.

Bergner is a leading real estate attorney in Wisconsin. She focuses on real estate development, zoning and land use, tax credit, and public and private real estate financing. The former Milwaukee deputy city attorney joined Michael Best in 2015 as a partner and chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.

“Michael Best is proud to have Danielle lead as Managing Partner in Milwaukee,” said David A. Krutz, Firm Managing Partner at Michael Best. “Danielle is an accomplished attorney and strategic problem-solver widely recognized and admired for her solutions-oriented approach to complex work. She is also dedicated to making Milwaukee a better place for all of its residents.”

Bergner’s promotion comes at a time of growth for the firm in Wisconsin and nationwide. Michael Best just unveiled a new visual identity and website. That campaign reinforces Michael Best’s commitment to understanding and anticipating industry changes and market trends which its clients face. Michael Best seeks to integrate this approach with a forward-thinking culture to continue to be the strategic partner to its clients.

The selection of Bergner to lead the Milwaukee office reflects Michael Best’s dedication to diversifying its leadership positions and supporting its skillful leaders.

“I look forward to continuing to serve clients in my new role, and to have the opportunity to lead at a firm that values community investment and continues to drive the practice of law forward,” Bergner said.

Bergner graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she was note and comment editor for the Marquette Law Review.
