Technology Capabilities
We view our ability to communicate and exchange work product with our clients as
a critical element of our services. Today, the Internet is used as a key vehicle
for communication. Attorneys have access to secure e-mail, Internet and
wireless devices enabling quick and efficient exchange of information with
clients. The Internet is also used as a research tool whenever possible to
pass along cost savings to our clients.
We use encryption software to provide a secure e-mail system and customized
extranet sites allowing clients to easily exchange, review and edit documents
prepared by our attorneys. Additionally, Michael Best has established appropriate
firewalls and other security features that are maintained and monitored to
provide overall confidentiality of its computer network.
The firm has the capability to establish single and multipoint video-conference
links to and from all of our offices to client sites, and other video
conferencing providers. In addition, we can establish desktop video conferencing
from our attorney's desk to our client's computer.
Michael Best's ability to utilize technology to benefit our clients is
demonstrated throughout the litigation process. Our attorneys use litigation
support software to image, record and retrieve documents and other electronic
evidence (reducing overall document production costs), create document
databases and search deposition transcripts.
Michael Best's commitment to deliver quality legal services in the most
efficient manner is reflected in the firm's technology resources. We
continuously define ways to provide efficiencies using technology to benefit
