Since 1993, when the Pro Bono Institute challenged all U.S. law firms to dedicate more time to pro bono clients, Michael Best has dedicated numerous hours each year to this effort.
As a member of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, we and other members of the Lex Mundi global network of commercial law firms give free legal assistance to social entrepreneurs around the world. The Foundation also acts to strengthen the rule of law by organizing teams of experienced attorneys drawn from Lex Mundi members to help design and conduct selected reform projects.
A recent example includes developing an intellectual property rights strategy for a Columbian social entrepreneur who plans to distribute educational products throughout South America.
