Dr. Bean’s chemical expertise includes nanotechnology, materials, polymers, catalysts, coatings, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical compounds, batteries, consumer products and chemical processing. His life science experience includes nucleic acid separation and identification; analytical reagents and processing; and instrumentation and assays (IR/VIS/UV spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, fluorescence assays, electrochemical detection, antibody assays, electrophoresis, chromatography, etc.) Dr. Bean is also a member of Michael Best’s Renewable Energy Team, having technological expertise in biofuels, photovoltaics, gasification, and anaerobic digestion.
